Giclée (Pronounced G-EE-KL-EE), is a french word used to identify one of the methods of reproduction.
Modern pigmented inks specially created for the Giclée process
can be used to reproduce virtually any image
on a variety of backgrounds. When properly applied, these inks are considered to have a 100 + year life span by
most galleries, rivaling many original artworks in longativity.
As shown above, when produced on canvas it is often difficult to tell if one is looking at an original painting
or a Giclée reproduction from a short distance
away.
