THE BRANTFORD
PISTON PUSHERS

The Brantford Piston Pushers circa 1962
with Weiner Moyer's '54 Meteor & Larry Steward's '54 C/Gaser.
The club's interior hosted many project cars.
Here are Bob Skelton's '34 Chevy & Cam Fraser's Model A

Started in 1955 on Market Square the club moved shortly after to the
Starlight Dance Hall at Locks Rd. & Colborne St.
1956 saw the first clubhouse behind Burtol Cleaners and in
1957 they moved to a new one on Cockshutt Rd.
Finally in 1958 the club relocated to the one most people rememberd
on HWY #2, where it survived for more than 25 years.

In 1956 the club founded the Ontario Timming Association
along with 9 other clubs and started Kohler Dragway the same year.
In 1958 the club was instrumental in starting the first Custom Car Show
in this area, "Motorama '59" was held at the Hamilton Forum

While too many to list here, went through the club's membership over the years,
in 1966 the membership list read:

 Bob Mountjoy - President
Len Smith - Secretary
Bian Heap - Treasurer
Don Douglas, Wayne Moyer, Dave Mulligan, Mel Musikov, John Kirby,
Jim Mills, Don Atkinson, Joe Biro, Mike Chute, Phil Kowalski, Tim Turvey

The club's bright red jackets where always popular.
Here Jim Mills is showing off his jacket & '38 Chevy Coupe.
