Rankin Ford's "WILD CHILD"

In 1967

The mid 1960's saw one of Canada's first funny cars The Wild Child.
Rankin Ford's '65 Falcon, campaigned by John McIntyre and mostly driven by Ev Rowse.
It started as a worked up 289, sporting six Webber downdraft carbs. It was later turned
into a real performer shown here, with Ford's awsome 427 SOHC.

Being restored in spring of 2004

Yours Truly in June .... Once more "The Wild Child"

"Wild Child" is now restored to it's former glory by Joe Germann in the US.
It ran at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA June 4-6, then at Cayuga
Ontario, Canada on the 24th and Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada June 25th. after
a great get together at Eve Rowse's Garage in London, complete with John McIntyre
and the original owner, Mr. Rankin
